Schwenksville Elementary School

2014 Summer Reading and Math

Incentive Program

Our Goal

500 Books and 500 Online Site Visits

This summer, in addition to reading books, Schwenksville Elementary School is also tracking the number of times you spend using online Reading and Math resources.

Upon completing a book or online activity, complete the information on the Summer Reading and Math Incentive Log sent home at the end of the school year.   The Summer Reading and Math Incentive Log can also be down loaded by clicking here.

If we meet our goal the school will have a school-wide popcorn/movie event, and Mrs. Galiardi will be duct taped to the wall. Any students who participate will receive a pencil. One student from each grade level will be recognized for reading the most books.

Online Math Sites

July 10th ExtraMath Update
If you linked your child's account information to their teacher when the ExtraMath letter was sent home during the school year, your child will still be able to access ExtraMath normally. If you did not follow the directions sent home by your child's teacher, you will need to create a new account.  The ExtraMath website is https://www.xtramath.org/

July 9, 2013 ExtraMath Update
It has come to our attention that student ExtraMath accounts from this past year have been archived and are not accessible by students. Therefore, if your child wants to use ExtraMath, you will need to use the free child registration located on the site.  In the event the student information from this past year becomes available, an update will be sent out. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
Click here to go to the ExtraMath site. If you need additional information, please contact Mr. Silver at wsilver@pvsd.org.

Online Math Sites

For additional math practice, the Online Math Sites page contains links to Math related websites, identified as helpful in learning basic to more advanced math skills. Keep a record of how many times you enter one of the sites and spend at least 15 minutes practicing math skills.  This information should be entered into the survey on the school website, or on the Summer Reading and Math Incentive Log.
